Audrey Bascand (1930-2019) was a celebrated member of the Dunedin art community who exhibited at the Otago Art Society and held solo exhibitions. She attended Canterbury College School of Art, studying design, majoring in art metalwork, a technical skill she brought into two-dimensional work with the metal plates of etching. She exhibited at Canterbury Society of Arts and New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts. She also worked as an art teacher”.https://natlib.govt.nz/records/22377446 .
